No doubt Clovis mother nature has the first and last say. You are so correct in that. What I mean by "natural course" is regarding human behavior being aligned with nature. Simple. Really speaking though nobody here is talking about "millions of dollars". For fifty dollars one can give someone a career, an income and a future. The premise of WSU is not solving all the world's problems or even thinking that such a thing is possible but simply putting some power and a voice in the hands of some disspossessed women and let them do what they will to improve their own lives. I've seen it work.

I think we are wasting our time talking about gross adjustments of humanity within this closed system. That will happen when it happens as it will happen. It's inevitable. I think you are preaching to the converted here. But for me such an inevitablilty doesn't constrain my humanitarian or activist inclinations. So I'm not sure how it is relelvant here.

Thanks again for the great discussion. keep on blogging!

Thank you very much Clovis for your comment. Your vantage point is one that is important for us to closely examine and parse through. In general, you seem to be driven entirely by the mind with no consideration for the heart with it's amazing potentiality. This is a common ailment that limits many people as it clutches their being from the joys of positive effect. What I'm doing here is engaging the heart facilities and simply giving and advocating giving. That's all. Just giving without conditions. Giving is a function of love. Giving is the same facility that a parent has when sacrificing for their child. It's a natural and healthy act that creates a positive ripple effect. When one gives others in turn give. At least this is what I have seen. As well I find it amazing that I can contact people around the world and see their plight and then electronically send them money to help them out. To me it's one of the truly great things this technology boom brings us.

The other oversight you have made is in under-estimating the scope of what the organization World Sisters United is actually doing. WSU is a media collective which gives women the opportunity to explore ways of using the media to help others. This opens up an extremely broad umbrella of possibilities. One thing we are actively pursuing in the Philippines and India is exploring all the problems and issues women face and dissecting these issues and then documenting the whole process.

No doubt; sex, birth control, religious beliefs, archaic church decrees, and all activities resulting from any ignorant behavior are being actively debated by members of WSU. These are the kinds of discussions going on at our summits, meetings, emails and networking. Believe me it's fascinating hearing the vantage point of an 18 year old female with a fifth grade education who has grown up in a nipa hut living like people lived a thousand years ago. Contrasting that with others living in industrialized cities or nations with their own motivations and behavioral tendencies. We are all put together differently. We all succumb to different influences and weaknesses. WSU is bringing many cultures together and thus many religions so we are not ignoring any points of view. The aim is to bring to the table all the problems facing women (and all humanity) and seeking the most natural course (and conclusion) that fosters balance with nature and each other.

If we all followed such fatalistic mental generalizations as you have expressed the only conclusion one could ultimately reach is some kind of holocaust similar to that which the Nazis unleashed on the Jews. Thinking people are not worthy of being assisted because they were born into a certain religion (and thus followed those beliefs) is a very inhuman conclusion. Gross generalizations of people based on religion is a great part of why the world is so screwed up today, don't you think? You are playing the same hand many tyrants before us have played to horrific results of suffering. Intolerance and ignorance of others is the problem as I see it, not poor people who have been dealt a difficult hand. We all need to open our own minds and hearts and grow our understanding of others, not box innocent people in with cheap mordant words. But I must say understanding those who follow a belief we cannot condone is a challenge only fit for the warriors of truth. All religions have tremendous flaws that pushes certain triggers of anger within people. May I suggest we all seek the path of understanding instead of the path of intellectual type-casting as you have. I will be the first to say that religions have caused most all of the worlds suffering. But I can't see why one would not help someone else based on their religious beliefs or based on the fact that they have a large family - no matter what motivation or acting facility was behind such procreation.

as to your almost Shakespearean quote:

The world is suffering a plague of humans, worse than any plague heretofore seen, and we will be the cause of our own destruction. meanwhile the misery is only going to get worse.

I would like to suggest to anyone plaguing on such a thought to simply embark on a simple act of giving to spawn one incredibly small moment or incidence of joy given to some other without any motivation for anything in return. This is the power we all have and it's a magnificent thing indeed.
